The 137 Challenge

Next month, I am taking part in The 137 Challenge with ActionAid. I don't normally do sponsored events, but the combination of the physical challenge, and the good cause it supports, really spoke to me.

Did you know, one in three women will experience some form of violence in their lifetime, and 137 women are killed per day by a partner or family member? Please sponsor me to do 137 sit-ups, squats or step-ups every day this October. Any donation would be much appreciated. Donations can be made here, on my Just Giving page.

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Their dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls. They are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want. Even though I am a fitness instructor, doing 137 squats, sit-ups or step-ups every day in October will be a challenge for me. So I appreciate your encouragement and thank you for your support. My page donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. It's efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity.

UPDATE: As of 10th November, I have raised over £500, with your help, and am proud to have received a medal from ActionAid to say thank you. I was really pleased to beat my original target of £137. I found it quite a tough challenge, physically, due to the number of reps, but here I am with my medal, and I'm very grateful for your sponsorship.
